PM Ideas

Start today!

Ask yourself a question: when will you start those activities that will lead you to where you want to be in the future? If you aren't starting today, and I mean today, if you are not planning to spend even 5% of your time on that one important thing you have to do towards your goal, you are simply not on your way to your goal.

Saturday, 24 April 2010 00:09

Making sense of different options you have with meeting requests can be an uneasy task. Some things are obvious, while some may pose questions.

I found this article from Microsoft that helped me clear that up.

Celebrating Success - Getting a Sense of Completion
Thursday, 08 April 2010 04:24

iPhone App: TaskTask - Outlook To Do List
Wednesday, 27 January 2010 18:08

I have been evaluating a number of task management apps available for the iphone/ipod touch. My primary interest is in having my To Do list, that I use in my Outlook 2007 client, appear on my iphone and sync at all times.

There are 2 apps that I found which fulfill the requirement of syncing with Exchange (2003 or 2007).

Breaking Our Commitments
Wednesday, 20 January 2010 07:11

I was talking to a friend of mine about commitments and how we break them. I've noted something remarkable about commitments and our behaviour. And why is it important?

IEEE Computer Society Adds PMBOK v4 CAPM and PMP E-Learning Courses
Sunday, 10 January 2010 17:52

I recommend IEEE Computer Society’s Element K E-Learning service (www.computer.org) which offers 3000 online courses powered by Element K. Your membership to the IEEE Computer Society is around 100$ and not only gives you access to many resources as an IT Professional, but also gives you access to a multitude of free E-Learning courses that give you an IEEE Computer Society certification.  Some courses even give you CEU’s, both of which are recognized worldwide. Recently added are PMP and CAPM online certification courses for PMBOK v4 which the current PMI certifications are based on.
