I have been evaluating a number of task management apps available for the iphone/ipod touch. My primary interest is in having my To Do list, that I use in my Outlook 2007 client, appear on my iphone and sync at all times. There are 2 apps that I found which fulfill the requirement of syncing with Exchange (2003 or 2007). TaskTask is one of them. Another app is iMExchange. Second app has a nice interface, but does not resemble 100% of To Do list that I see in Outlook. It also does not sync up flagged items: it only syncs the task items. Although I do use iMExchange for syncing notes with Outlook, which is helpful. I wouldn't have bought it if it was just for the notes, as I was looking for the tasks mgmt piece, but I have to agree, the interface they created is much more appealing.
I prefer TaskTask for my task management. Of course, the reason I use Outlook is related to my habits of how I manage my email and tasks. Plus many clients I do work for use MS products, thus it's an easy fit.
For anyone that doesn't use Outlook, there are other apps. I have tested out OmniFocus, Things, EasyTask, eTodo, Todo and a few others. I'd say that Things and OmniFocus are worth looking into, if you use a Mac (I do use a macbook pro). EasyTask is also good. All three of these allow syncing with computer (to do list) or online source. But they don't sync with Exchange (as far as I can tell). I personally use TaskTask daily. Mind you, I'm using Office 2007 and haven't used 2003 with this app, therefore cannot confirm if the results I'm seeing with 2007 are the same with 2003, although the author does say it should work. It's worth checking out: http://www.tasktaskonline.com/TaskTask/TaskTask.html
